THE SCIATICA THAT
WOULDN’T GO AWAY!

Case Study

The pain in Bruce’s back was so bad he ended up in the emergency room, where they did x-rays, gave him some pain killers, and diagnosed him with sciatica. Then they sent him home and told him to come back if the pain didn’t go away. “I put up with that for about a month and entering a weekend, I realized I couldn’t take it anymore.” A quick Google search led him to Dr. Cianci, whose staff moved quickly to get Bruce in for a consult the next day. “They were all very accommodating, and very helpful and good people. And that came through the first call.”

TREATMENT

Dr. Cianci recommended twice weekly visits for Bruce’s sciatica. But over time, Dr. Cianci also began to notice other issues, such as Bruce’s shoulder, which he diagnosed as a frozen shoulder. “It’s bothered me for the last eight years,” says Bruce. “I didn’t know that. Nobody else ever told me that. And now it’s a hundred percent better.”

Bruce also appreciates that Dr. Cianci takes the time to explain things, and puts it in terms that he can understand. “It’s his knowledge that takes that problem that I have and puts it into proper perspective, and sets up a protocol to fix it.”

The positive and caring attitudes of both Dr. Cianci is also a big plus for Bruce. “I never ever get the feeling that I’m just a number.”

RESULTS

Bruce continues to look forward to his weekly visits with Dr. Cianci. “I can feel the difference when I go for my daily walk after he makes an adjustment.” He also says he’s thankful that he hasn’t had to have surgery to correct his sciatica. “I know several people who have gone through the same thing with sciatica and have gone the medical route and have lived to regret it. So, I’m very pleased with the decision.”
